Zoetermeer – Vele brandweer voertuigen werden zaterdagmiddag gealarmeerd voor een flinke natuurbrand aan het ‘s-Gravenpad in Zoetermeer. Het ging om het natuurgebied langs de rijksweg A12.
Toen de eerste brandweerwagen ter plaatse kwam bleek dat de brand zichzelf aan het uitbreiden was. Ook werd snel duidelijk dat het winnen van water een groot probleem was.
De brandweer schaalde op naar ‘Zeer grote brand’. Vanwege de impact van de brand werd ook ‘GRIP 1’ afgekondigd. De NS legde het trein verkeer tussen Den Haag en Zoetermeer tijdelijk plat.
De brandweer laat weten dat de brand woedt in een voormalig baggerdepot. De brandweer zal nog enige tijd bezig zijn om de brand volledig uit te krijgen.
