Delfgauw – In de nacht van woensdag op donderdag 25 juni is er omstreeks 00:50 brand ontstaan in een stuk bos aan het Vrederustpad in Delfgauw.
De brandweer kreeg om 00:55 de melding van een natuurbrand, de brandweer kwam met spoed ter plaatse. Ter plaatse sloegen de vlammen al door het bomen en het groen heen. Omdat de brand moeilijk te bereiken was is er begonnen met blussen vanaf de overkant.
De brandweer had enige tijd nodig om de vlammen te doven. Twee brandweermannen in waadpakken zijn even later overgestoken en hebben de laatste brandhaarden geblust.
Hoe de brand is ontstaan is niet bekend, mogelijk is er sprake van brandstichting.
